Hi there! My name is Ali MacDonald, and I am currently embarking upon my first semester at CSULB to earn my credential to teach art. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2015, where I studied the History of Art and Architecture and Communication. As an undergrad I held an internship at the campus art museum, but painting, drawing, and ceramics filled my free time. After testing (and not loving) the waters of the desk job world, I dove head first into a year of teaching English in Thailand and traveling through Southeast Asia. It was there that everything clicked into place for me, and I realized it was time to combine my lifelong passion for art with my newfound love for teaching. As an art teacher, I look forward to sharing my passion for art as a form of reflection and meditation, as well as a way to find beauty and meaning in everyday life, with my future students.
